URGENT READ: Communitelligence Announces Economy-Sensitive Pricing For All 2009 Conferences
|

In recent days Communitelligence has become increasingly cognizant of the strong south winds blowing the world economy backwards. The downdraft of layoffs, closings, bankruptcies and bailouts is causing many companies to curtail all non-critical travel and reduce training budgets.
Yet it has never been more essential for professionals from all organizations to come together to learn the new landscape and brainstorm our collective futures.
Sensitive to the new economic realities, Communitelligence is announcing new pricing options to help make our 2009 Communitelligence conferences more affordable and flexible to attend.
Here are the new pricing options now in effect, starting with the RETHINKING CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS 2009 Conference & Bootcamp, March 4-5 in Washington D.C.:
- We've lowered the full registration price from $1295 last year, to $900 – and that includes the ½ day Chief Communication Officer Bootcamp on March 4th, plus the full day conference March 5th.
- Employees of non-profits, government agencies and educational institutions can attend at a 30% discount on the full conference fee, or $630 each.
- We're instituting new group pricing to encourage internal teams and colleagues to sign up together and save. Two corporate registrations are $700 each. Three or more are $500 each. Two or more non-profit registrations are $480.
- And for those professionals who have lost their jobs and are unemployed but would like to attend, please call Shelia at 480-816-5550 or use this form to tell us your circumstances and why you believe RETHINKING CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS 2009 will help you secure your next job. We will do our best to make it possible for you to attend. Register here.
Believe me, these are not easy measures for a small company to take. But Communitelligence is pleased to provide these discounts to all affected by a complex and difficult economy. Our purpose is to continue our mission of improving organizational and interpersonal communications, through all economic cycles.
I welcome your thoughts and ideas. Because all of us are smarter than one of us.

Judette, thank you for your comment. As a small business ourselves, I can certainly empathsize with the need to conserve cash but still stay current and sharp, especially during uncertain times. Our small staff has huddled and we have decided to extend the same 30% discount to small businesses. Of course there can be some disparity in how small business is defined, but we would like it to mean individually owned business with less than $1 million in revenues. We trust no one will abuse the definition. Thank you for bringing this audience segment to our attention. I hope you will attend the conference so we can thank you in person. To register, in the shopping cart just use the same promo code as Non-profits, Government and Academics. Best, John

This was a wonderfully crafted letter, a spot of light in the bleak economy.
You might want to consider extending the 30% discount to small business owners as well. Many of us regard conferences like these as the means to update our skills and of course to network.
The turbulent waters are also causing us to flounder. I hope you include us in your targeted pricing.
