Introducing Communitelligence Egg
|
You're all invited to join Communitelligence Egg, a brainstorming embryo I just launched on Xing.com, the professional social media site I found recently.
I created Communitelligence Egg with the goal of discussing issues and trends at the intersection of communications, marketing, public relations, online communities and ecollaboration. It is my belief that the new social media tools are pressuring organizations to understand and begin deploying the new tools for competitive advantage in the areas of branding, change management, employee collaboration, marketing and innovation, to name a few.
Ultimately, ideas surfaced on Communitelligence Egg will find their way to Communitelligence.com, a knowledge-sharing community for communication, marketing and PR professional launched in 2004. The site's mission is to improve organizational and interpersonal communications, with the driving theme that most human and institutional blunders and catastrophes can be squarely blamed on 'communication breakdowns' that could have been prevented with better knowledge. We envision Communitelligence Egg will help infuse Communitelligence.com with new ideas and ultimately new directions.
You have to register as a Xing member (free) to join this group, but I would recommend this, even if I hadn't launched the group. Xing is an interesting social networking site that I especially like for its groups and advanced search options. In some ways I like it better than Linkedin and Spoke.
Hope you'll join Communitelligence Egg so we can continue to hatch out ideas that will help us guide the evolution of Communitelligence and deploy the new social media tools for business, and planet betterment.
